  • 2 beautifully renovated properties nestled in the heart of the Breton countryside.
VR Estates are delighted to offer for sale situated in the lovely Breton countryside close to Belle Isle en Terre and Callac and only 35 mins from the sea, these two beautifully renovated traditional Longeres maintain a wealth of character but benefit from modern conveniences. Having been fully renovated to a high standard these properties offer a whole range of options for a buyer.
The properties could make a great business investment, extended family home or a combination of the two. One of the longeres is currently being successfully marketed as a holiday let whilst the other is used as a family get away.

The main house has 3 double bedrooms (one on the ground floor with en-suite wet room) large living room with wood burning stove and mezzanine above (currently being used as further bedroom space but has endless possibilities), kitchen diner with new bespoke country style pine units including dishwasher and washing machine.

The second house is slightly smaller but still with 3 good size double bedrooms (one on the ground floor with en-suite wet room), and an open plan, but cosy, living, dining and kitchen area.

Outside is a heated below ground swimming pool with approximately 2/3 of an acre garden, patio and paved areas and a fully insulated double glazed wood cabin (currently used as an office).
There is also a stone built, slate roofed lean-to which houses the pump and filtration system for the pool plus additional storage space for garden furniture and tools.

The garden stretches over about 2/3 of an acre with open countryside views on all sides. The main space in the garden is split into two levels broken by a rockery with a ramped path to one side allowing access to both sections of the garden easily.
There are a selection of trees and shrubs giving opportunity for the use of a Hammock and chair swing and the opportunity to find peaceful shade when needed during the summer months.
The lower tier of the garden is ideal for ball games whilst the top tier is perfect for quiet times, reading, snoozing and just getting away from it all. During the summer the garden gets the sun almost all day being south west facing.

The below ground pool is a great feature of the property and overlooks open countryside. It has been positioned in such a way that during the summer it benefits from the sun all day. The pool heating operates on a heat pump heat exchange system that takes the warmth from the air and transfers it into pool water (like a fridge in reverse) and regularly reaches temperatures of 28 – 30degrees.
There is a paved seating area surrounding the pool allowing 6-8 loungers to be used comfortably. For the more energetic users there are 2 powerful swim jets and for those that just want to chill there is a bubbling Jacuzzi. The salt water chlorination system is easy to use and a much more pleasant swimming environment than standard chlorination.
The pool area is enclosed with a fence and a locked gate in accordance with French law. Included in the price will be the winter cover and top quality solar summer cover. We also have a portable rechargeable battery powered pool hoist for our disabled guests which can be available by separate negotiation.

The property is set in an ideal position to make the best of the Brittany countryside and coastal area. There are forest walks within 10 minutes drive and the stunning and unspoilt coastal towns of Plestin Le Greves and Locquirec are only 30 minutes drive away.
Slightly further afield you have the restaurants, creperies and unspoilt quiet golden beaches.
The local village is 1km away and has an excellent bakers, 2 bars, a small shop and a church, meeting all possible essential immediate needs. 10 minutes drive is the small town of Callac which has a range of shops including supermarket, shoe shop, 2 bakers, butchers, clothes shop, newsagents, several bars, 4 restaurants, post office, 3 banks, schools and a regular weekly market.

For larger towns Guingamp and Lannion are to the north about 25 and 45 minutes drive respectively, Carhaix to the south also about 25 minutes. These both offer a larger choice of shops, supermarkets and markets.
